Meet the Scientists Behind SnapBack

Rachel Zemser - Food Scientist

Rachel is a food scientist with advanced degrees in both food science and culinary arts. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from the University of Massachusetts, a Master of Science in Food Microbiology from the University of Illinois and a culinary arts degree from The Art Institute. Rachel has more than 20 years of experience in both technical and creative roles.

John Foley - Head Food Scientist

John is a nutritionist with experience in technical services and a history of working in the dietary supplement & food industries. John earned a Master of Science in Food Science from University of Massachusetts. His specialties include food & beverage, antioxidants, polymers, GMP and emulsions.

Meet the founders behind SnapBack

Tessa Arnold - Co-Founder and COO

Tessa Arnold is a co-founder and chief operating officer. Tessa offers a strong customer service and technical background and holds a project management certification from the Project Management Institute. The working mom served as the Vice President of Commercial Banking at J.P. Morgan for 10 years. Her focus was global project management, specifically online interface and technical integration.

Michael Arnold - In memoriam - Founder and an Owner

Michael earned a degree in Business Management from George Mason University and served in the Army Infantry. He worked as a sales manager for Sethness Products Company, he worked directly with co-packers, food scientists and supervised food operations for over 300 food companies (Nestle, Smuckers, Mars, etc.) As a Combat Veteran and Purple Heart recipient; he earned his Purple Heart on the same battlefield (Saddam International Airport Baghdad, Iraq April 4, 2003) where SFC Paul Ray Smith died a warrior, saving the lives of many and posthumously received the Medal of Honor. These experiences fuel his mission for Snapback; to improve the work-life balance of America’s working class.

Joe “The Colonel” Arnold - Founder and CEO

An Airborne, Ranger, Pathfinder, Combat Infantry veteran with 30 years of service. Experienced as a commander, trainer, Inspector General, Operations Officer, and Chief of Staff. The Colonel is a graduate of West Point, Rice University and The National War College. He was an Assistant Professor of Military History at West Point and a writer, published in various military journals and magazines. Upon retirement, he started and managed businesses in various industries, including software, finance, restaurant, co-packing and retail. The Colonel has a strong, entrepreneurial spirit and is dedicated to assisting hard working men and women live full and productive lives.

F. Reilly Cobb - Co-Founder and CFO

F. Reilly Cobb is a co-founder and chief financial officer. He is a retired senior executive who is passionate about assisting entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. He has relevant background in the food manufacturing industry as a director for Little Big Farm Foods and financial partner at ArCo Financial Services. He is a former US Navy Supply Corps officer who managed multi-million-dollar budgets and served as the SEC registered financial principal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tulane University, and an MBA in finance from the University of Houston.
